A “Blue Planet Citizen” at heart, Dr. Philippe Souvestre is a passionate multidisciplinary physician, scientist, airman, explorer, innovator who, for over three decades, pioneers effective neurobiomedical approaches towards shifting mainstream Medicine paradigms to benefit severely incapacitated chronic trauma patients lingering without relief and solution. “Brain Health” is crucial not only to achieving good health and wellness but also to performing well and setting off to happiness, safety and success. In view of his extensive background in Aerospace Medicine, Outer Space exploration, and brain performance-focused Life Sciences, alongside his first-hand field experience in interacting with various hostile challenging environments, Dr. Souvestre shares his understanding of trauma impact recovery. Drawing from effective investigations of key neurophysiological mechanisms and issues, he explains how and why the “Six Pillars of Brain Health” matter with unraveling means and solutions easy to use. Mr Yi-fan CHIANG is renowned Taiwanese musician and music educator. His own works as well as the feature albums he took part in production have garnered major honours in Taiwan, such as the Golden Horse Award, the Golden Tripod Award and the Golden Melody Award. He is the incumbent CEO of Yi Fan International and Executive Director of Nanjing Jie Yuan Culture Development Co Ltd.
Mr Chiang will illustrate the revolutionary quality education system developed by himself- by deploying Problem-based Learning model on music creation, combining with inspirations from multi-arts and life values, to attain the holistic educational goal of “Heaven, human, matters, and self”. The fundamental solution to environmental issues lies in effective environmental education. The Taipei Environmental Regeneration Creative Association founded by Lien Ling-Yu upholds the principle of “taking action to protect the environment, utilizing creativity to love the earth”, and is dedicated to the long-term promotion of environmental aesthetics education through in-depth teaching activities in various fields, multidisciplinary exhibitions and environmental aesthetics design resources. Instilling the appreciation of the preciousness of materials by the public can lead to the implementation of waste sorting and the adoption of environmentally friendly lifestyles straight from their hearts. Ms Sophia WANG is Director of the Yi O Farm Project in Hong Kong Lantau Island since 2012. She is responsible for the planning and design of the farmland as well as bringing edible landscape and organic agriculture into the landscape design. Prior to this, she is a landscape architect licensed in the United States with more than 20 years of experience in landscape planning and design. Her portfolio covers a wide range of projects such as theme parks, metro squares, and community streetscape beautification in the United States, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Mainland China and other parts of Asia. She has also worked with various landscape architecture firms and the Urban Renewal Authority of Hong Kong.
The presentation begins with her philosophy of landscape design which considers the growing environment of people as well as animals and plants to ensure that everyone can enjoy a healthier natural environment. She will then share her experience in the rice re-cultivation project in Yi O in recent years. Lastly, she will illustrate how landscape designs that integrate the functions of viewing and consumption can enhance our living environment, let us know more about our foods, and as such to achieve “health for all”.
