Learning Analytics (LA) is a growing field focusing on capturing, analyzing, and utilizing data from teaching-learning contexts. It aims to facilitate a better understanding of the learning experiences and thereby enhance it. In this talk, we shall share the research findings from a sustained collaboration between researchers and educators from Japan over the last six years. The LA-enhanced system, designed and developed in Japan, was also utilized in classroom teaching in higher education contexts in Japan and at the institutes of other international collaborators.

Presenting the research case studies, we would highlight a model of how to support reflective practices in an analytics-driven learning ecosystem.

By the end of this workshop, you should be able to:

Microsoft Representatives

Abstract:

Microsoft SharePoint is a powerful tool that can be used in education to facilitate collaboration and file sharing among students. One of the key features of this platform is the ability to co-edit files, allowing multiple students to work on the same document at the same time. This can be particularly useful for collaborative projects, group assignments, or peer review activities, as it allows students to easily share and incorporate each other's ideas.

In addition, Microsoft SharePoint can also be used to share large files for distributions or submissions. This is especially beneficial for courses that require students to work with multimedia files or other large documents. The platform provides a secure and reliable way to share files, and allows students to easily access and download the necessary materials.

Overall, the use of Microsoft SharePoint can enhance the learning experience by fostering collaboration and simplifying the file sharing process. By incorporating this platform into their teaching, educators can help students to develop important skills in teamwork, communication, and digital literacy, while also streamlining their own workflow.

By the end of this workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Create a folder to sharing your materials with large file size;
  2. Create a file and share it to students and co-edit it.
  3. Apply the co-edit function into different teaching and learning activities.
