Knowing the uncertainties ahead of us, mixed-mode teaching will continue be predominant in the next semester. With the experience of conducting mixed-mode teaching and learning in the last semester, we are delighted to have invited Dr Wai Luen Kwok from the Department of Religion & Philosophy and Dr Angela Mak from the Department of Communication Studies to demonstrate how to engage and motivate students in mixed-mode classes (i.e. some students attending the class in person while some of them attending online) and share different approaches to meet the teaching and learning challenges they have encountered. They will also share how they redesign some of the assessment tasks to put an emphasis on providing formative feedback to student learning.
In this session, you will be inspired with some practical tips on conducting ‘mixed-mode teaching’ with a video conferencing software to facilitate your quality teaching and assessing student performance.
